Bruce Calise: Video games by themselves, no. It is not conceivable that one element of a person's environment will completely affect their behavor and actions. Someone who plays MW2 all day and starts killing people is mentally ill. This is not caused by the game, but by an actual physical/emotional warp of their mind. However, the game can harbor and provide an opening for expressing aggression and this can cause them to produce a physical recreation of it.

To see something in a game or movie that would make you go crazy means that you already had problems at the start. Every sane person can play Grand theft auto, and know that stealing cars, killing people, and blowing **** up is wrong. If a person with existing mental problems gets their hands on it they might go crazy. BUt, other then that the only way a video game can make someone go crazy is if they get addicted to it. Game addicts are no different then crack addicts. They will do anything to get their fix and will act crazy if they don't receive it....Show more
