Landscape Fabric, Mulch & Weeds?

Basil Blasingame: Seeds blow in and land on top of your flower bed where they root and appear as weeds. You need to weed the bed then apply "Preen" which prevents seeds from rooting in your flower bed. Preen should be applied annually in the early Spring.

Bennie Lantgen: Some fabrics aren't that good and let the sun light and weeds come through. You can put down a good second layer. Or you might check your mulch and see if it is thick enough. The main thing here is to keep the sun light from penetrating through.

Oda Mauson: panorama fabric is a ripoff in that subject. ensure you keep your mulch maintained by including a splash to it each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. in case you have familiar plant life, you need to use a pre-emergent herbicide like Preem. it quite is going to save new growth from occurring without hurting contemporary growth. in case you do no longer choose any plant life on your mulch, you need to use a brilliant spectrum herbicid! e like around Up. it quite is going to kill each and every thing....Show more

Delmy Varano: Hi:There are many different types of landscape fabrics available today. The problem is weeds will still grow. The fabric will help minimize the weeds, but you will always have some weeds growing. I would recommend to remove the old fabric, spray the weeds, and put some new fabric down. Mulch at least two inches thick and this will help retain moisture as well as help a little bit with weeds. I hope this has helped some. I will link you to the site map of my website.
