how can i get the money for my car repair?

Lia Argall: for what brakes call the cops youre getting screwed

Elissa Curlin: you need to go back to that shop and get an itemized bill.... find out why in the world it cost so much...i think you got screwed.. next time ask around and find a trusted car mechanic....

Rona Espalin: your question should have read my brakes are squeaking does anyone know why i think 1300 is much over priced you got taken i would like to know what the shop did for 1300 dollars and find another job a loan only digs the hole deeper

Rosella Figliola: Get a list of what work was completed. I would really question the work that was done. The car is only a year old.

Hans Sachetti: as a shop owner ill tell you a secrete if i dont give you an estimate i broke the law and you can sue me and you dont need to pay the bill now if you just told them to fix what ever was wrong you may not win but i never do any repair over $200 without clearing it as if i dont they may ! not have to pay the bill i have been stuck beforework it out with them make payments...Show more

Catheryn Barringer: no way stock brakes/lines cost that much. even a brake fluid flush doesn't cost that much, and that's probably what they did. you're getting screwed. no more than $800 would cost to buy/install COMPLETE SET of brakes (calipers/rotors/pads/drums/brake lines). on a car that new, the brakes lines wouldn't need replacing unless you race the car.don't pay for it. talk to their supervisor, and if that doesn't work, get a lawyer.

Madie Strople: Didn't they give you an estimate before they started??? Sounds like they are taking well advantage of you!!! Get an itemized listing of everything that they have done and check with another dealer to make sure you didn't get taken. Then take the matter up with the BBB for fraud. I once went to get our van fixed and they told me the bill would be over $1,000. and wanted to get my approval, I said no, I wou! ldn't do that and that I would talk to my husband about it. I! don't think that they knew I was married. Anyway, my husband was furious, because he knew it wasn't that expensive for what needed to be done(He turned these guys in) , so we picked it up and brought it to another repair shop and it cost $150.00I now have a Mountaineer and my brakes and all that I had done was around $800.I would try the bank first for a loan. There are other loans you could get from other places, but perhaps at a much higher rate of interest....Show more

Barton Sease: a full brake job with new rotars, pads etc should not cost you anywhere near that.I would call the better business bureau and have them investigate this price, or if you have a friend that works in a repair shop check it out with them first.I think that there is definitely a problem here...If they did repairs that you did not authorize or sign for, then they are responsible not you. Most places that find a problem that is going to cost you alot will call and check with the owner first! before proceeding. So , with this in mind, take a look at your bill, go to a garage and get an estimate for what was done.....if there is fraud here, then you must call the police........Show more

Jerald Florence: can you use your credit card?

Randolph Lozoya: Cost and labor for replacing brake pads and rotors $300 or less...replacing the entire brake system would be around $800.Did they give an estimate or inform you what repairs and cost your car needed, if so, did you authorize the repairs? Did they give you an itemized bill for what they repaired and the cost of labor? Are they holding your car until you pay the bill?If they don't comply, don't take out a loan, get a lawyer....Show more
