How does a TiVo work?

Andrew Sinatra: A tivo is a dvr, in that they have a computer like hard drive to store shows. But Tivo is hooked up through the internet or telephone line to let you know every program that will be on in something like a two week period. You can set the tivo to record a show every week, repeats or originals only. you can mark favorite actors and tell the tivo to record every movie with that person in it.
