Corrinne Ruozzo: The optical audio output of any tv is not controlled by the tv remote control. It is a constant signal going to your home theater in a box. You have to use the home theater in a box volume control to go up or down. Hope this will help you out.
Kara Tabian: The volume control on the TV remote only controls the speakers in the TV itself. The volume for the home theater will need to be controlled by the remote for the receiver/amplifier.
